Bring your wee ones for a pre-school Mini Movers Session, 10:30am-12pm. During this session, age-appropriate equipment will be provided for parents to use to encourage active play for 3-5 years old (pre-school) helping them develop fine motor skills. If a younger sibling is coming along, you are welcome to bring a suitable toy for them.

Learn Gaelic throigh hymns old and new from the spiritual tradition of the Southern Isles, with Mgr. Ross & Pauline MacDonald. Donations. All welcome – open to Gaelic abilities of all levels. Email maryann@ceolas.co.uk to register.
Gaelic-medium music workshops open to S1–S6 pupils. Come together to make music, learn new skills and enjoy using Gaelic in a relaxed and supportive setting. A ceilidh band dance music workshop will be led by Padruig Moireasdan and is suitable for intermediate and advanced players. There will also be a piping workshop with Decker Forrest and Iseabail Dhomhnallach, focusing on learning new tunes and developing piping technique. The cost is £5 for a full day of tuition, and pupils should bring a packed lunch. Booking is essential and must be made via the online booking form. The deadline for bookings is Saturday, 31 January.

Come and enjoy a Valentine’s Soup and Pudding Lunch in Cafaidh Ghriomasaigh, Ceann na h-Àirigh and Grimsay Boat Museum. The lunch will be prepared by local chef Uilleam MacKay. Choose from a selection of homemade soups, followed by cheesecake or spiced apple crumble, with additional sweet treats included. The cost is £15 per person. There will be two sittings available, with the first at 12 noon and the second at 1.30 pm. Booking is essential. Join us for a warm, relaxed evening with Frances Mary Driscoll, 7 – 9 pm, for a hands-on celebration centred around bonnach: (n. masc. /b?N?x/, gen. & pl. -aich), bannock, savoury cake. Frances is a Glasgow-based multidisciplinary artist and fluent Gaelic speaker whose playful work blends collage, image and text to explore how culture is borrowed, remade and passed on. You will bake bonnaich, chat about cooking for celebration days, swap recipes and stories and collage together – you’ll also have the chance to create your own bonnach book. Suitable for all ages. If you have bonnaich memories or recipes, please bring them along to share – all are very welcome. Places are limited so please book your free ticket through the event link.
